Sidi Bou Said is a world-famous picturesque city-museum in Tunisia, located on a cliff at the foot of the Gulf of Carthage, just 20 km from the country's capital. The city is named after the Sufi saint Abu Said al-Baji. It has the status of "African Santorini" due to its unique architecture: since 1915, the law has prohibited changing the appearance of buildings, so all the houses here remain snow-white, and the windows, doors and grilles are bright blue. What is known and what to see in Sidi Bou Said: Panoramic views: The city stands on a hill, from where an incredible view of the Mediterranean Sea and the ruins of ancient Carthage opens.
