ABANDON SELF-EFFORT: If we could save ourselves, Jesus didn't have to die! Salvation is by God's grace alone. "For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9) ACKNOWLEDGE CHRIST'S PAYMENT: Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for your sins. "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) Jesus died in your place and your sin debt has been paid for by, "The blood of Jesus Christ." (1John 1:7) ACCEPT CHRIST AS SAVIOR: Put your faith in Jesus Christ and Him alone for your salvation. Receive Him by faith. The Bible says, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." (Acts 16:31) Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man cometh unto the Father but by Me."
