TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Law, Bung Karno University (UBK), has become the focus of attention after a public hearing within the campus. This comes after allegations emerged that several student representatives accepted bribes before a demonstration at the State Palace on Monday, June 15, 2026. The allegations surfaced after a video clip circulated on social media purporting to show that UBK BEM representatives who met with Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka allegedly received money. It is known that 15 students met with Gibran at the Vice Presidential Palace in Jakarta. In addition to UBK, the meeting was also attended by students from MH Thamrin University and the Open University. Following the viral video, UBK BEM FH released 10 student demands stemming from the alleged bribery received by the representatives who met with Gibran. One of the demands was for the alleged perpetrator to make a video and admit to accepting the bribe. Several student representatives from the UBK Student Executive Board (BEM) later confessed. One representative admitted to receiving Rp 2 million, while another admitted to receiving Rp 2.5 million. The Head of the UBK Law Student Executive Board (BEM), Muhamad Abdi Maludin, also admitted to receiving the money and pleaded guilty to the allegations. According to Abdi, the money was given in cash by a police officer in order to discourage UBK students from protesting at the State Palace or the House of Representatives (DPR). He admitted to initially rejecting the offer, but the funds were ultimately accepted. Nevertheless, Abdi emphasized that the demonstration proceeded as planned. Abdi also alleged the involvement of UBK Faculty of Law alumni in the transaction. He said the money was only distributed after the demonstration concluded in the Medan Merdeka Selatan area. Following the demonstration, Abdi and several student representatives were reportedly received by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka at the Vice Presidential Palace.
