Ben Watt band ft. Bernard Butler, 'Nathaniel' @ The Lexington, London 6.4.16

Ok I went to this gig because I've never seen my hair and guitar hero, Bernard Butler live. I'm not really a fan of Ben Watt's songs/sound but I really enjoyed myself this evening, mainly because I was smack bang in front of dear Bernard (probably too close, actually). This really isn't the time for Bernard to be pulling out distinctive riffs - it's not his band - so I missed that. But this was one of my favourite songs of the evening. It does have a memorable guitar sound and Bernard does some unusual guitar trickery high on the fretboard. It also tickles me how much time Bernard spends pressing various pedals - he's almost never not stepping on one! We even get a hand run through that gorgeous hair (@ 2.21). :-)
