To See A World, Sven-David Sandström

The Holy Cross Chamber Singers, directed by David Harris, from the “Waitin’ For The World” concert, October 24th, 2014. Recorded live in St. Joseph Memorial Chapel. Blake’s poem, "To See A World," challenges belief in personal identity, and the validity of time as a measurement. If, in our feeling of presence, we see the world as it is, like Neo in The Matrix, we uncover a sense of wholeness, and of being one with that whole. Several members of the College Choir read personalized messages to the world as they exit the stage. This was a thread that unified the concert. To see a world in a grain of sand And a heaven in a wild flower. To hold infinity in the palm of your hand, And eternity in an hour. ~William Blake
