How to start a psychology career in your 30's & beyond - DClinPsy - mature student, grief, being 40

One thing I love about being a psychologist is learning from people and learning about myself on our individual paths to becoming a psychologist. In this episode, we speak with Thomas Gourley, a 42-year-old incoming trainee clinical psychologist, who guides us through the waves, currents and riptides of life and explains how he ended up falling in love with the idea of becoming a clinical psychologist and then gave himself permission to pursue it. We speak about navigating key moments in life, and sometimes grieving them too, which shapes us in our journey to becoming a psychologist. Join us as we explore how both supervision and life shape us and help us grow. We hope you find it so useful. I’d love any feedback you might have, and I’d love to know what your offers are and to be connected with you on socials so I can help you to celebrate your wins!
