Shad 3P and SH23 + SH36 Panniers! ※ Why the SH23's don't fit my BMW R1250R

Heres' a little video showing the bitter-sweet fitting of the Shad 3P pannier brackets to my BMW R1250R. Bitter because I really wanted to have the SH23 side cases on the BMW but they do not fit on the bike. The main reason is the grab rail (which I do not want to remove) but there might potentially be interference with the bodywork too. I'm really concerned about riding with large panniers on a motorbike though, because I'm convinced that I'm going to misjudge a riding situation with them fitted (or forget that they are there) and have an accident. I hope that it's just a matter of acclimatising to them... after all people ride with panniers all over the world all the time and I'm sure most of them have no trouble at all... or do they? Let me know if you've had any side-case-scares!!
