Today, we go over the entire process of flashing the firmware of a CompactLogix L24ER-QB1B PLC. The process begins by establishing communication over RSLinx. This requires the programmer to set the IP address on the PLC as well as the programming terminal (laptop) to the same subnet. Once that’s complete, one needs to verify that the PLC in question is compatible with the desired firmware and download it to the machine.
