In the lead-up to Nyepi Day, Balinese Hindus celebrate various rituals, one of which is the Ogoh-ogoh parade at dusk the day before Nyepi. Ogoh-ogoh are large and frightening statues representing Bhuta Kala. They are paraded around villages to ward off Bhuta Kala, which symbolize negative elements. However, it's rare for ogoh-ogoh to experience problems, such as breaking or collapsing during the parade.
