I Bought an Untested Killer Instinct Arcade for $1000 CAD

I finally found an original Killer Instinct arcade cabinet on Facebook Marketplace, but there was a catch… The seller originally said it worked, but after plugging it in to test it, he told me it didn’t work. The cabinet was over 7 hours away, the back door was locked, and I had no way of knowing if the original PCB and hard drive were even inside—or what condition the interior was in. I decided to take the risk anyway. In this video I go over: Finding the cabinet on Marketplace The $1000 CAD purchase and $600 delivery from Port Hardy to Richmond, BC Opening the cabinet for the first time Discovering the original hardware inside Installing a Compact Flash conversion Swapping in a Hantarex Polo 25 monitor Cleaning and restoring the original controls A full walkthrough of one of the nicest original KI cabinets I’ve seen Original Killer Instinct arcade machines rarely come up for sale in Canada, especially in this condition, so I wanted to document the entire experience for other KI and arcade collectors. I’ve wanted an original Killer Instinct cabinet since 1995, so to finally own one—and for everything to come together the way it did—is unreal. Would you have bought this cabinet untested?
