RWBY: I Burn - Orchestral Metal Remix

A cover of the music from the Yang Xiao Long Yellow Trailer. Part orchestral, part metal - all slamming. Looking for more RWBY tracks like this? Check out the playlist here:    • RWBY   Out of the trailer themes, this one was the simplest to arrange, although also the one I had the most fun doing. Starting out, I knew I wanted to not go too symphonic on this one and keep the club vibe from the original. To that end, I sprinkled a large woodwind ensemble playing thirds through-out the track, mirroring the phased synths from the original. And I actually removed the choir that's present in the second verse in the original, feeling that was too grandiose. Going a bit against the grain, I had to remind myself not to add tubular bell hits for the same reason. Besides this, I also came up with my own guitar and drum parts, as I generally do, with them going through some revisions in the chorus until I got a riff that I was satisfied with down. Originally, I also featured the rap section before the final chorus. But after receiving feedback saying it wasn't up to part, I ultimately scrapped it. Time spent working on the track: 26 hours.
