Чалгија Мојсије Петровић - Пембе Пембе

Ensamble Chalgia Moisey Petrovich (aka Beogradska Calgija) - they play almost forgotten music stile from Balkan area. With theire music, they revive customs and the spirit of old towns. It quite certain that chalgia orchestres were a part of everyday life of townspeople in the nineteenth century. These bands entertained them in coffee-houses, at wedding parties and during other public and private celebrations. The last Belgrade chalgia ceased to exist in the early XX century.
