Installing Underground Power on Our RV Property Went WRONG! + Ford Missed This

This week started with routine maintenance on the Bronco and our Ford F350 Super Duty, but things took a turn when we discovered the dealership never reinstalled the transmission heat shield after replacing the transmission. If you’ve ever dealt with Ford transmission repairs or missing parts after service, you know how frustrating this can be. While waiting on the dealership to order a replacement, we shifted gears and started trenching for underground electrical service at our Tennessee RV property. Everything was going smoothly until we accidentally hit and broke a neighbor’s water line running across the property — a common issue when digging trenches or installing underground utilities. After getting the water line repaired, the electrician arrived to install the underground electrical service, pull new wire, and prep the system for inspection. We managed to get the trench covered just before a classic Tennessee downpour rolled in. To wrap things up, we headed back to Gary Yeomans Ford Knoxville where the dealership finally installed the replacement heat shield that should have been there all along. We’re getting closer to having permanent power on the property — now we just need inspections and the power company hookup.
