Bees Vs Spray Foam "No Contest!"

The title of this video says it all folks. Spray foam is no match for honey bees, they will chew right through it, no problem! This is a rental property & according to the tenants, the bees were there when they moved in. I was told that the previous tenants did not inform the landlord the building had bees & it appears someone used at least a few cans of spray foam to try to either seal the bees in or keep them out of the structure. Either way, the bees just chewed right through the foam like a hot knife through butter. At first the colony was very defensive but smoking them changed their intentions quickly! The tenant informed me that he used approximately $100.00 worth of chemicals (there was a fogger in the yard) to try to eradicate the bees, as they would sting him when he cut the grass. Even though the colony appeared healthy, I decided not to utilize any of the comb sections or honey from the hive for fear of any pesticide contamination issues. The colony is thriving now in Gonzales, Louisiana on 3,000 acres of swamp land with plenty of flowers, water & zero spray foam.
