Micro Salmon Fly - Park Shrimp - Salmon Fly Tying
A small but deadly version of the Park Shrimp salmon fly, tied on a size 18 double hook for low water fishing. The Park Shrimp has to be one of my favourite salmon flies for early and mid season fishing. It has the deadly Willie Gunn / Cascade colours but with the extra movement from the artic runner tail. Unlike the small trebles that I tie for mid summer low water grilse fishing, this wee double is tied on a heavy iron hook capable of holding both grilse and spring salmon, even in a very strong current.
