Worth Upgrading To The NEWEST R35 Nissan GT-R?!
š Is it worth upgrading to the newest generation R35 Nissan GTR? After 4 years owning my 2014 GTR, should I sell it and buy the newer 2017+ R35 GTR? Todays lets take my friends brand new to him 2017 Nissan GTR R35 for a spin and drive it back to back with my car! Not only are we going to compare the 2014 to the 2017 GTR and how the different generations compare, but we'll also test out how a bone stock GTR drives compared to my full bolt on R35 GTR! For sure the modifications in my car make it so much faster. I get so used to the power in my car that I forget how it was back in the stock days. Loved seeing how much more refined the transmission is for the newer R35 GTR is. Very smooth shifts that are noticeable quicker and less slop in the slow speeds. The new GTR is more forgiving as a daily driver. My 2014 GTR has more slop in the gears and is a bit slower to change gears. And slow speed clunks a bit more. The modification and tuning on the GTR makes such a noticeable difference too. SO much more top end in a FBO R35 than stock. I love it! The full exhaust sounds amazing in m y car too. The active valve in the 2017 and up GTR doesn't seem to do much. So of course mods will wake it up. For the pricing you can expect to pay about $105k for the new gen GTR in todays market on the low end, whereas I can sell mine for about $85k. So for $20k more you do get a better car with more revisions and refinements. Nicer interior and sharper looks. It's well worth it and maybe one day when the time comes I'll sway my beloved GTR for a newer body style R35!
