Fernando Fernandes: de ex-BBB à emoção de concluir a São Silvestre em uma cadeira de rodas

Before becoming a world champion in paracanoeing, Fernando Fernandes was a soccer player, an international model in New York, and a reality show participant—yes, he was once a Big Brother Brazil contestant. But everything changed after the car accident that left him paraplegic. In this episode of Portodos, Fernando recalls his childhood in Vila Mariana, a neighborhood in the city of São Paulo, his passion for sports, the years living outside of Brazil, his relationship with fame, and the emotional impact of having to rebuild his life after the injury. He also talks about accessibility, prejudice, autonomy, body image, mental health, and how sports became a powerful tool for starting over and overcoming limitations.
