Una Zip Line in Appennino - Ferrata Balze del Malpasso

A wonderful adventure in the province of Reggio Emilia, along the Dolo River, particularly across the Malpasso stream, in the company of friends and a newcomer to the world of via ferratas. A thrilling via ferrata on stunning sandstone 😀 The via ferrata includes a super fun zipline (pulley) that can be approached with a sling and a double-pulley, preferably with bearings. I particularly recommend using the Petzl Tandem Speed. Using a simple pulley, not designed for fast cable transport, risks stopping before the landing platform. Obviously, as with all mountain activities, use of this zipline is at your own risk, but I can say that I've always found it in excellent condition, with a very sturdy and smooth cable. Kudos to whoever built it. It's super fun 😊 There's a pulley about 60 meters long and a second, lower and shorter one for returning to the starting point. At the arrival station, there's a bin containing a rope to help anyone who gets stuck and can't reach the base. Otherwise, it's awesome! Have fun! 👌😊 The via ferrata includes two beautiful, sturdy Tibetan bridges that cross the Malpasso stream. A final climb up the rocky spur makes everything more vertical. At the end, you can bypass the most overhanging section with an easier variation of the via ferrata. elia lazzari https://www.eliusoutdoor.com - outdoor adventure photography   / eliusoutdoor   - Instagram profile   / eliusoutdoor   - Facebook profile
