Unknown University of Applied Sciences: A university where students graduate as business owners

Unknown University of Applied Sciences was founded in 2018 in Hague. At Unknown, students launch entrepreneurial ventures in the process of learning (the majority graduate with a revenue-generating business), the majority of faculty are entrepreneurs themselves, assessments are practice-driven, and learning happens in short five-week cycles. Teaching is complemented by the Founder Monitor, a research initiative that tracks entrepreneurial journeys and seeks to understand the factors that influence who become a founder. What is Unknown contributing to the global practice of entrepreneurship education? How are the graduates distinct? What does one need to have in place to start a true entrepreneurship-driven university?
