I Travelled Across Java by Train ๐ | An INCREDIBLE Journey Through Indonesia ๐ฎ๐ฉ
In this video I travel by train across the island of Java โ and it turned into one of the most incredible journeys Iโve experienced in Indonesia. ๐ฎ๐ฉ ๐ My journey starts in the capital of Indonesia - Jakarta - where I took the incredible Bullet train. This is the ONLY bullet train in South East Asia and to say I was excited was an understatement! With just a 45 minute ride to Bandung I made sure to soak in as much as this experience as possible - from enjoying the VIP lounge access in the train station to having a 1st Class Cabin all to myself for the entire journey! ๐ Next up my trip takes me from Bandung making my was across to Yogyakarta. After some research into which train would be the best to take - I decided on the Panoramic train- This turned out to be a very good decision. Honestly this journey took me by surprise at just how good it was! The service from start to finish was excellent and the journey itself was amazing. Incredible scenery throughout the journey which made the 6 hour journey fly by! With panoramic views and decent food and drink options throughout made this a memorable part of the journey and one I would highly recommend. ๐ The 3rd leg of my journey across Java takes me from Bandung to Surabaya. A 7 hour journey which turned out to be one of the roughest train journeys I have taken. I woke up at 6am full of cold and not feeling great but I knew I had to get the journey done. Having paid just ยฃ5 for this ticket I had a feeling it would be no frills! And it certainly was that! The train was very old and the seats were extremely uncomfortable. People were stacked in on top of each other and after a few hours I decided to move my stuff and move into the restaurant carriage where there was a bit more space and less odours! This was a bit of a rough one but after getting such a cheap ticket I really could not complain. I was certainly glad to arrive in Surabaya! ๐บ The 4th and final leg of my journey took me from Surabaya to Bangyuwangi. Again, another 7 hour journey awaited me. This time I learned from my mistake and decided to pay slightly more for an 'Executive class' seat to give me at least a little more comfort for the trip! That turned out to be a good decision. I had a single seat which was comfortable enough and the carriage was pretty empty aswell. This journey was decent enough and actually went pretty quickly. ๐ณ After spending a night in Bangyuwangi I was up early the next morning to hop on the ferry to Bali. A smooth sailing which only took an hour or so to the mainland followed by a long 4 hour mini van ride to my final destination - Ubud. This part of the trip felt like it took forever and monsoon rain storms the whole ride made it even longer. I was glad to finally arrive at my destination in Ubud for some much needed rest and recovery! All in all I would highly recommend travelling by train in Indonesia. It is an amazing and unique way to see the country. I would say if you aren't willing to go with the more basic options then it is better to pay extra for a more comfortable trip. Overall an amazing experience that I would do again in a heartbeat! ๐ How I booked tickets for these trains and ferry across Java:- ๐ Bullet Train - https://ticket.kcic.co.id/webTrade/#/... ๐ Panoramic Train - https://www.traveloka.com/en-id/keret... ๐ Bandung to Surabaya - https://www.traveloka.com/en-id/keret... ๐ Surabaya to Banyuwangi - https://www.traveloka.com/en-id/keret... ๐ณ Ferry from Bangyuwangi to Bali - https://12go.asia/en/travel/banyuwang... #Java #IndonesiaTrainTravel #TrainVlog #BackpackingIndonesia #ToughTravels #JavaByTrain -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you enjoy the content please show some โค๏ธ and help support the Channel by simply hitting that Subscribe button ๐ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- S U P P O R T M E: โBuy me a coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/toughtra... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- T H I N G S I U S E ๐ฆVPN: https://get.surfshark.net/aff_c?offer... ๐ฑeSIM: https://airalo.pxf.io/c/6253105/20710...
