S4EP1: A NEW Entrance for a NEW YEAR!

Bonjour et Bienvenue! Today I show you our latest French maison renovation - the Front Entrance! They say that first impressions count and I think that also relates to your house too! French interiors are so much fun as you can draw from the history of Kings and Queens, of grand Palaces and Chateaus, to modern aesthetics that give an old style a contemporary look and feel. In this episode Shaun and I show you what we started from, which was old peeling wallpaper, cracked walls and plain sad surfaces that needed A LOT of work. What we end up with is a BRAND NEW renovated space that is like a breath of fresh country air! It incorporates.... well, everything French! I haven't put a price on this renovation but I would say that buying during on-line Sales as well as brocantes and doing all the work ourselves enabled us to finish the room for around $1500.
