Innisfail Queensland Floods 17th December 2023

RE-EDIT OF CONTENT: PLEASE DISREGARD THE 900MM RAINFALL AMOUNT MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO, APPARENTLY IT IS GROSSLY WRONG!! VIDEO OWNER Cyclone Jasper may have just skimmed past us, and gave us a little scare, but little did we know what we were in for?? Only days after literally crossing the coast north of our location, Jasper had the last laugh, sitting idly over the Cape York Peninsular/Gulf of Carpentaria region, Jasper unleashed a lot of incessant rain upon our area!! As can be expected, our river systems were over run, and had breaches everywhere from rivers in Cape Tribulation to our fair town Innisfail, and everywhere else in between?? I must say, Innisfail hasn't had a decent flood in some time, since cyclone "Rona" quite some years ago?? This flood event has enlightened us somewhat from our slumber, and shown new residents and youngsters what a real flood can look like, and the dangers associated with such an event!!
