Agdangan, Baao, Camarines Sur, was established on September 7, 1991. It operates under the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Cáceres and is known for its distinct polygonal architectural footprint. Prior to its establishment as an independent parish, the community was part of the broader history of the town of Baao, whose religious roots date back to 1590 when the first Franciscan missionaries arrived. The St. John of the Cross Parish itself was formally erected to serve the growing spiritual needs of the local Agdangan community.
