Stay tuned for a lot more Mustang GTD content, especially as we get this one to the Track! Is this the best Mustang EVER made? We think so! More information about the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD Key Features: Engine: Supercharged 5.2L V8, producing 815 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. Transmission: Rear-mounted 8-speed dual-clutch transaxle. Suspension: Semi-active suspension with Dynamic Suspension Spool Valve (DSSV) technology, lowering ride height by 40mm in Track Mode. Aerodynamics: Active rear wing and carbon fiber body panels, including a carbon fiber roof, hood, fenders, and trunk lid. Performance: Ford claims a top speed of 202 mph and a Nürburgring lap time of 6:52 seconds, a record for a American production vehicle! Limited Production: Ford plans to produce the Mustang GTD in limited numbers, with an initial run of 300-700 units per year, built by Multimatic in Canada. Unique Design: The interior features elements inspired by F-22 fighter jets, including titanium paddle shifters and a serial placard. Track Focus: The trunk is optimized for performance enhancements like suspension and cooling, sacrificing cargo space. Street Legal. But Just Barely. Game-changing tech. Street-legal, track-ready supercar capability. And most importantly, Mustang soul. The first-ever Mustang® GTD combines it all, to create a race car for the road. Performance Art It’s unlike any Mustang you’ve ever experienced. Boldly engineered. Brilliantly advanced. Brutally powerful. Capable of competing with Europe’s best on any track — but made to deliver its projected 815-plus horsepower* directly to the American road. See what set Mustang® GTD apart from the pack in its pursuit of clearing the famed Nürburgring in less than 7 minutes. Suspension of Disbelief Multimatic DSSV (Dynamic Suspension Spool Valve) technology... in a production car? Believe it. A state-of-the art suspension system underpins the Mustang® GTD. An advanced rear suspension and adaptive suspension dampers provide a precise response to road conditions. On course days, Track Mode lowers the ride height by 40mm — providing improved aerodynamics and handling — at the push of a button. The Science of Speed Every component and system within the 2025 Mustang® GTD is designed to reduce weight, enhance handling, and increase speed. Available forged magnesium wheels provide an excellent strength-to-weight ratio that’s ideal for the demands of racing. The standard carbon fiber body panels, driveshaft and available underbody aerodynamic tray help reduce weight and improve performance. While the featherlight, titanium exhaust adds dynamic style while projecting the growl of the supercharged 5.2L Predator-based V8 engine. The Inside Story Get to the finish line faster than you’ve ever dreamed — in an interior you’ll never want to leave. Available in multiple colors, the premium cockpit includes soft-touch leather and exterior-mirroring carbon fiber details throughout. Hand-tailored RECARO® seats feature laser-etched Miko™ suede and GTD-specific details. While available 3D-printed paddle shifters, the rotary dial shifter, and serial plate are made from materials sourced from retired Lockheed Martin™ F-22™ fighter jets. Plus, advanced electrical architecture from the new seventh-gen Mustang® offers seamless connectivity, personalized driving modes and convenient software updates to help keep your Mustang on the cutting edge. Powerful by Design Take a deeper dive into the advanced engineering hidden beneath the sleek, carbon fiber skin of the Mustang® GTD. It features a supercharged 5.2L Predator-based V8 engine with a 7,650 RPM redline. A dual-clutch, 8-speed rear transaxle is connected to a carbon fiber driveshaft to put massive power to pavement while contributing to the near 50/50 front-to-rear weight distribution. Plus, a lightweight titanium exhaust system adds dynamic style to the rear while defining its soul-stirring growl. #mustanggtd #fordmustanggtd #gtd #ford #fordmustang #mustanggtdreview #fordperformance #racing #mustangs #fordmustangshelby #supercars #supercar #luxury #hypercar #fyp Chapters 00:00 Creation of Mustang GTD 01:25 Mustang GTD Exterior 11:29 Removing the Deck Lid on the GTD 30:13 Under the Hood of the GTD 34:59 Mustang GTD Interior Review 46:55 Starting the Mustang GTD & Exhaust Note 48:19 Mustang GTD Suspension Lift & Drop 49:13 Final Wrap Up
