Salford breaks new ground with precision row cultivator
Salford is looking to ramp up productivity and minimize crop damage with its new precision row crop cultivator. In this report from from Canada's Outdoor Farm Show in Woodstock, Ont., Salford product manager Josh Kettle shares how the company has integrated cutting-edge camera and wand guidance systems to create precise alignment that allows the cultivator to operate at speeds of up to 12 mph. Available in 12-row, 16-row, and 24-row configurations, the cultivator also includes sectional control for point rows and dual zone down pressure for customized compaction management. Kettle notes that the cultivator is aimed at organic growers as well as conventional farmers seeking alternatives to herbicide-resistant weed management.
