Skiing for the first time ever | Blue Mountain | Canada | Adventure | Travel Video
As most of us know that Canadian winters are really harsh with the average temperature ranging between -10 to -30 degree celsius; however, for those into the outdoors, winter is a wonderful time of year in Canada. Popular activities include downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tubing, ice skating, fat-tire biking, and so much more. December to February is an ideal time to do any of the above mentioned activities as heavy snowfall makes a perfect condition for it. It was the month of February when me and my friends Amit, Asad and Manik decided to visit the Blue Mountain which is the biggest and famous ski resort in Ontario, Canada, to try skiing for the first time ever. This was more of an adventure vlog than a travel one. I used Go Pro 10, DJI Mavic mini Drone and I Phone 13 to capture my experience. Blue Mountain is basically an entire complex and within that complex is the village area- which is a great mix of food, bars, restaurants etc and the hills of-course where you could do different kinds of activities. The food here is expensive so make sure you have a high budget. We booked the newbie package online on https://bluemountainvillage.ca/, which is the official website for the Blue Mountain Village. Newbie package is the ideal one for all those people who have no experience and want to learn skiing or snowboarding from the scratch. It costed us $128 plus tax and includes access to the learning terrain, hills, equipments and lift tickets. You have an option to choose between skiing and snowboarding. For more information on activities and prices, check their website by clicking the link above. Make sure to dress appropriately and wear the following: gloves, beanie, jacket, water proof pants, sports socks as it gets really cold. If it’s your first time please make sure you learn and practice the basics well such as how to stop, how to take turn on either side, otherwise, it could result in some serious injuries. I witnessed some dangerous crashes and accidents that day. So don’t rush things or get too excited to go up on the hill instead take your time and get used to it first. Overall, It was a wonderful experience and I would any-day recommend to try skiing or snowboarding at-least once in your life as its a great adventure. I hope you liked the video.
