Génocide des Tutsi au Rwanda - Le témoignage de Félicité Lyamukuru

On Thursday, February 20, we welcomed Félicité Lyamukuru, a survivor of the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, to speak to secondary school students during a morning dedicated to the history and memory of the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. Félicité Lyamukuru was born in 1977 in Goma (Zaire, now the Democratic Republic of Congo), the city where her parents had fled the anti-Tutsi pogroms of 1973. In 1985, the family returned to Rwanda and settled in Nyundo, in the northwest of the country. Félicité was 16 years old when the genocide began. She and her brother Jimmy were the only survivors of a family of seven children.
