Thames Path 1 - Beach Camping At A Container Terminal

First episode and Day 1 of the Thames Spring series - beach camping at a containe terminal! (across from Thames Haven) This series is where I try to walk the entire Thames Path, recreating the path I took in the 90's, 00's and 10's day hiking from St Mary's Hoo near Cliffe to near Abingdon (Wallingford actually) - over 100 miles. It's my local river on my doorstep, tantalising me to find out where it comes from.... But this time, I have unfinished business. I want to go to the source 200 miles away, at Kemble...and with wildcamping and my long distance hiking, I now have the means. So we take totems to guide us and avoid the mud of Yantlet Creek and talk about lost seaside towns and the London Stone and where does the Thames really start? Talk about tides and the history of the Thames, a Coast of Crap with the original Plastic Beach, being remote and in deserted locations so close ot a major world city, and end up magical beach camping across from a container/tanker terminal.
