Sis Dağı is the highest peak in the Aladağları Mountains, located within the borders of the Görele and Eynesil districts of Giresun Province and the Şalpazarı district of Trabzon Province. Its elevation is 2,182 meters. Its summit is located within the borders of Yeşildere village in Görele. At the summit of Sis Dağı lies the Sis Dağı Plateau, at an altitude of 1,950 meters. The Sis Dağı Festival is held on the plateau with visitors from surrounding nomads and villages. The festivals are organized on the fourth Saturday of July by the Şalpazarı District Governorate and the Şalpazarı Municipality.[3] The snow on the mountain does not melt until July. It is accessible via a 75 km asphalt road from the Trabzon coast. Sis Dağı Plateau has telephone, electricity, and water. Accommodation and facilities for day trippers are available.
