Melbourne Metro Tunnel Update June 2025 -Anzac, Town Hall, State Library, Parkville & Arden Stations

In this video, I give you an update on how the Melbourne Metro Tunnel Stations are progressing. This was all filmed on 18 June 2025, and I start with Anzac Station which is basically finished. You'll see the 4 entrances that go into Anzac Station, glimpses of the platform escalators and lifts, concourse artwork and much more. It's then on to Town Hall Station with its 3 station buildings and 7 entrances. The Collins Street entrance is close to completion with it's majestic roof canopy now visible over the entrance. Things are less developed at the Town Hall Place entrance to Town Hall Station, but you will see glimpses of the connection with Flinders Street Station. I then show you the hive of activity happening for the Federation Square entrance. It's then on to State Library Station, with the entrance on the corner of Swanston Street and La Trobe Street close to completion, with lifts and escalators all ready to go and amazing artwork of indigenous Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung by Danie Mellor. I take a look at the connection with Melbourne Central Station, before covering the northern entrance to State Library Station with unique views from within the RMIT University campus. It's then on to Parkville Station, starting with the main entrance on Gratton Street with its impressive 54 metre glass canopy. I then show you the other 3 entrances to Parkville Station along with several ancillary buildings. Then for Arden Station which is the last new station on the Melbourne Metro Tunnel project. This is a very unique design with the archway, and use of locally sourced bricks. Like Parkville Station, Arden Station also has skylights to bring natural light into the concourse below. You'll also see the welcoming hands artwork called "Come Together" by Abdul Abdullah and how Arden Station is raised to prevent flooding from the nearby Moonee Ponds Creek.
