This is terrible gameplay, even if it looks good and Warhammer 40k Dawn of War IV is NOT READY

I spent hours watching and analyzing the latest Dawn of War IV gameplay footage and talking it over with some of my viewers, hard core Warhammer 40k fans and fellow content creators and our conclusion is that while the presentation of this very important upcoming RTS is good, its functionality, including unit readability is not. Planned release date is 17th of September 2026, but I don’t think this is a version that is anywhere near ready for that release window. 🛒 Steam store link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/22... 💥Latest RTS Games & News:    • Newest RTS Game Releases, Demos and Update...   ⭐UPCOMING STRATEGY GAMES⭐    • New & Upcoming AAA and Indie games   👓Game Previews:    • PC Game Previews with gameplay and features   Chapters 0:00 The Good & Bad 0:28 Release date & Factions 1:06 Transparent marketing 1:34 Optimism vs Reservations 1:57 Change of dev team 2:21 Streight to the worse point 2:42 Extreme low time to kill 3:00 Squads acting as individuals 3:40 Commander combat broken 4:16 Fighting empty air… 4:48 Just can’t believe it 5:09 Melee also broken 5:42 At least range works 6:16 Terribly hard to see units 6:52 Blood and gore… but its bad 7:10 How it should work! 7:58 Map creep & Necrons 8:30 What IS great! 9:06 Good Lore vs Bad development 10:02 Example of unfinished work 10:24 Strategems - Where is the strategy? 11:11 FREE research? 11:35 Wargear - clicking checkmarks 11:58 Maps? A lot actually... Dawn of War IV is now much closer to its planned release date in September of 2026, so we got these two battlefield reports as multiplayer matches between its developers and all four factions were in the spotlight. Space Marines took on Orks with ease, while Necrons gave Adeptus Mechanicus a good fight, but ultimately cracked under pressure from higher tier units. Yes, these were just devs playing, not hard core RTS gamers, and there is a lot that was left unutilized in both tactics and micro, but we can’t judge them for it. These were showmatches after all, not duels to prove who is the better player. This was also a great way of doing some transparent marketing, which is a big plus, but with that comes the baggage of an unfinished game version which unfortunately showed a lot of its shortcomings. You probably noticed I don’t cover Dawn of War IV regularly on my channel and that is precisely because I feared that it would come to this. I wished with all my might to stay optimistic, but I also had huge reservations about what would come of this game. I have been watching its development with trepidation because of the change of the developer team, and the failed third game of the franchise, whose existence I will only ever acknowledge once during this very one sentence. Now instead of Relic Entertainment which gave us Homeworld, Impossible Creatures, original Dawn of War, Company of Heroes and even Age of Empires IV the project was passed onto KING Art Games whose only previous RTS game development project was Iron Harvest. We all have our own thoughts on that one, and while it was later improved and changed most players didn’t find it a good RTS game. With all that out of the way, let's dive in straight to the point and I will try to make both the good and the bad as obvious as possible. Near the end of the Space Marines vs Orks matchup, we get a look at the two commanders which will be generic in name in the full version but here they are Ezrael and Guzcutta. The two devs set up a small skirmish between the two but in the defensive fire range of the Orks HQ building and some turrets. #DawnofWar#RTS#Warhammer40k
