Various army ambulance driving away STORYLINE: Nine of the American troops injured in recent fighting in Afghanistan and a wounded Canadian journalist arrived in Germany on Wednesday for treatment at a US military hospital. The cargo jet carrying the wounded arrived just before 10 p-m local time (2100 GMT) at Ramstein Air Base for transfer to the nearby Landstuhl Regional Medical Centre. Seven of the wounded were Army and two Navy, but there were no other details immediately available. The plane also brought reporter Kathleen Kenna, 47, of the Toronto Star newspaper, who was injured on Monday when someone hurled a grenade at her car as she rode toward the scene of fighting between the US-led coalition and Taliban and al-Qaida forces. At least 40 Americans have been injured since the intense fighting began on Friday, and more of the wounded are expected to be brought to Landstuhl by the end of the week.
