Going to The Beach and Pools with a Prosthetic Leg
Notes & Links: Not much in the way of links this week. It's really just about the advice and considerations for spending time at the beach, in pools, and hot tubs. 1. Ask your prosthetist about getting an extra socket or using a check socket for the beach/pool. 2. Ask your prosthetist about an extra foot shell that you can glue a non-slip sole onto and drill holes into. 3. Remember to disassemble and wash your leg parts off with fresh water after going to the ocean. Salt water is corrosive, and sand will get everywhere. 4. If you notice some corrosion on on your leg. A little, as in very small amount like a drop or three of WD-40 on a paper towel can help clean it off. Assorted Stainless Steel Set Screws: https://www.amazon.com/Sutemribor-Sta...
