30 Bowers Family Album 1980

We spent the summer of 1980 at the chalet with Simon and Peter spending time volunteering on the railway. We went down to wharf station to see Simon off on one of his firing trips on Number 3 Sir Haydn. A few days later Simon was on the footplate of Number 1 Talyllyn and Peter is seen helping out around the yard at Tywyn Wharf, absolutely filthy. Later on Ann and myself had a trip up the line to Abergynolwyn and Peter had a third man trip on Number 4 Edward Thomas seen heading back to Tywyn.
