Pilot declares emergency at Peterborough Airport
Just after 3:30 p.m. Peterborough Fire Department was advised of a plane from Seneca’s Flight School landing at Peterborough Airport that had a flat tire. Firefighters responded to the airport and staged until the plane was ready to land. Members of Loomex’s Emergency Response Team and firefighters went out on the runway with their crash tender truck and waited while the plane landed without incident. The plane was pushed off the runway to one of Seneca’s hangers.
