It's time to break the generational ignorance that is Christianity - Amypassion

**My apologies for the poor audio quality on this video. _________________________________________ Today I spoke with Amypassion, who grew up believing in Jesus as her Savior but ultimately deconverted as the truth claims of Christianity fell apart. We touched on many topics, including: • Reclaiming her identity and experiencing a personal awakening after she fully questioned the Biblical narrative, leading her to reject Yahweh, whom she saw as morally inferior. • Deconstructing her inherited religious trauma and reflecting on how indoctrination can emotionally and physically devastate families. • Challenging the commodification of religion, especially in Nigeria, where churches frequently exploit poverty by commercializing hope, requiring tithes for basic church access, and preying on desperation through manipulative prophecies. • Recognizing the moral dissonance in Bible stories like Cain and Abel or Pharaoh’s hardened heart, which helped her see that the Yahweh character is presented as unjust, unkind, and deeply problematic. • Exposing the psychological cost of indoctrination, such as the panic, fear, and insomnia caused by the constant threat of hell and demonic attacks, which was in strong contrast to the peace she felt only after she let go of Christian beliefs. • Rejecting fear-based control systems that are used to keep believers compliant and to create a “mental slavery” that thrives on anxiety. • Resisting systemic religious elitism and injustice that is embedded in many church structures. • Rebuilding morality on humanist foundations of empathy, accountability, kindness, and the principle of ethical autonomy. • Celebrating the joy of the mental freedom and inner peace she gained after shedding Christianity. • Advocating for communal awakening and solidarity, including a united, decolonized, secular movement in Africa that empowers people to reclaim their minds and resist spiritual oppression.
