So...What WAS Real?

What was real in psychosis? It can be hard to tell. I can't always trust my memories, because what I remember to be real and what others remember to be real don't always align. I've found ways of doing some detective work to sift through the memories and make sense of what happened, and I even still have to do some detective work with the hallucinations I experience outside of psychosis today. Still, yes - no, black - white, right - wrong are all too rigid to apply to reality. Who's to say that what my experience was in itself wasn't real? Aren't the feelings and memories real? Reality is too complex to fit in a box. Sometimes, finding out what actually was real comes down to how each individual person defines their reality. •••••••••• 🎙️ “Lost Patients” NPR Podcast 🎙️ https://open.spotify.com/show/1avleoc... ❤️ TIKTOK ❤️   / psychotic.in.seattle   🧡 INSTAGRAM 🧡   / psychotic.in.seattle   💛 ART SHOP 💛   / speakeasy_designs   💚 FACEBOOK 💚 https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?... 💙 BUSINESS EMAIL 💙 [email protected] •••••••••• 00:00 Introduction 03:27 Trigger Warning/Disclaimer 04:02 Context Clues 06:29 Reality Checks 09:17 Memories 11:28 The Filter of Psychosis 14:07 Agreeing Upon Reality 14:58 Objective & Subjective Reality 15:54 Experiences of Reality 18:46 Feelings ARE Facts 20:13 Validating the Feelings 22:34 Conclusion/Life Update
