After the Great War, Hermione Granger receives a secret mission to travel back to 1978, the Marauders' final year at Hogwarts. There, she is to help them graduate, gain their trust, and, years later, prevent the deaths of Harry Potter's parents, thus altering the fate of the other Marauders. This mission comes from the Ministry of Magic, which wants to do Harry Potter a great service and assures her that she will only appear to be gone for a few hours. Hermione agrees, unaware that she is also changing her own destiny... because in the past, she also encounters the young Sirius "Padfoot" Black...
