Oh man, District 9 is a horrible allegory, but also...a really really good movie? On the surface the Prawns make a terrible representation for an oppressed population, but in this video I'll argue that District 9 is actually one of the most surprisingly nuanced takes on racism and colonialism the film industry has ever accidentally emitted into pop culture.
