BK Talks: Carlo Ratti – Public Lecture June 10, 2025 17:30–19:00 Oostserre, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment This edition of BK Talks welcomes Carlo Ratti—architect, engineer, and director of the MIT Senseable City Lab. As founding partner of CRA–Carlo Ratti Associati, with offices in Torino, New York, and London, he works across design, technology, and the contemporary city. Ratti teaches at MIT and the Politecnico di Milano and ranks among the most cited scholars in urban planning. His work—spanning architecture, installations, writing, and curating—has been presented at MoMA, the Venice Biennale, and the Guggenheim, with curatorial roles at Expo 2015, the Porto Design Biennale, and Manifesta 14 in Prishtina. Throughout his academic and professional work, Ratti explores how emerging technologies are reshaping the way we understand cities, design them, and inhabit them. Carlo Ratti is the first guest in AE&T’s new Jaap Oosterhoff Visiting Professorship programme. This semester, he has joined two Building Technology courses and concludes his visit with this public lecture. Join us for a keynote by Carlo Ratti, followed by an open Q&A.
