Synopsis . (0:11) A rich and bored family is lazing on a park bench. A beautiful lady passes by and, taking advantage of his wife and daughter's sleep, the father starts following her and flirting with her. (0:55) A gentleman (Charlie Chaplin) comes across the same girl and inevitably her suitor. The feud between two men ends with the unfaithful husband ending up in the pond (4:42). The rival meanwhile continues his walk in the park until he meets the seducer's wife and beautiful daughter. The women, charmed by the man's manners, invite him home for a merenda (7:19). But upon the householder's return (10:47), the guest is recognized and forced to flee to the girl's room. Finding a dress on a mannequin, he decides to put it on (13:57). He first introduces himself to the girl, who, amused by the joke, advises that he also remove his mustache (18:24), so that she can introduce him to dad as her college friend Nora Nettlerash (19:13).
