But is there currently a Party Council legally? No. We resigned, the number of members fell below 40. The bylaws clearly state that the Party Council is null and void. But they are making illegal decisions, saying, 'We'll do it this way because it suits us.'" Arguing that the crime of the dismissed provincial and district chairmen was "making the party the leading party," Karabat said, "Our provincial and district chairmen supposedly supported Özgür Özel, made the party the leading party, and will carry it into the future. Karabat, noting that he revealed from the parliamentary podium that Türkiye was sentenced to pay $1.471 billion in compensation in international courts due to selling cheap oil from Iraq to Israel and the Greek Cypriot administration, said, "They are now deeming it appropriate to expel our provincial and district chairmen who should be explaining this street by street." CHP Tokat Central District Chairman Aytekin Ayan and Provincial Chairman Çağdaş Kurtgöz also criticized the party leadership.
