I had the chance to sit down recently and talk with Inna about what growing up in Taiwan was like looking like a white person. Even though her dad is Taiwanese and she speaks native-level Chinese, she's been put into the "foreigner" box because of her appearance. This makes it easy to be seen, but ultimately is a barrier to finding a partner and getting acting work. Because of this, she might leave her home country to escape being a "foreigner".
