Hi everyone! How do you build a bike from rusty junk? In this video, I'll show you what I made of this project. I've had some bicycle parts lying around for a few years now – a frame, fork, rack, and a couple of rims. Over time, these parts had rusted. So, recently, I decided to build a bike from this junk. And so it began... I had to thoroughly clean and sand all the parts. This process took the longest. After cleaning, I primed and painted the bike frame, fork, and rack. I also had to do the same with the fenders, only I painted them white. Next, I replaced the bottom bracket. I assembled the bottom bracket assembly on heavy-duty bearings. The pedals also needed to be replaced with new ones, because the old ones were already worn out. I also had to tinker with the wheels. I made one wheel out of two. I took the rim and spokes from the first wheel, and the hub from the second. After that, I had to reinstall the spokes, tighten them, and eliminate the wheel runout. So, I spent quite a bit of time eliminating the "figure eight" on the wheel. From there, things were much simpler. I installed a new chain. Secured the fenders. Put on new grips. And the final step was the decorative finishing. I cut out several stickers from self-adhesive paper and applied them to the frame and fork.
