Vlog 847 Sydney Metro City Opening Day - Chatswood to Sydenham Now Open In the early hours of August 19th 2024, Sydney Metro City, the Line between Chatswood and Sydenham, officially opened its doors for passenger services. This new line forms part of the M1 North West & Bankstown Line, and connects with the existing line between Tallawong and Chatswood, which opened back in May 2019. In 2025, this M1 Line will be extended from Sydenham to Bankstown, once the existing Bankstown Line is fully converted from a Sydney Trains to a Sydney Metro Line.
