Painting Bud Anderson’s P-51B | Dark Green Camouflage & Invasion Stripes

In this video, I continue my 1/72 scale P-51 Mustang double build project, this time focusing on Bud Anderson’s P-51B Mustang finished in an unusual field-applied Dark Green over Medium Sea Grey camouflage scheme. One of the most characteristic elements of this aircraft are the invasion stripes, and in this tutorial I’ll show you my approach to masking and painting them while preserving the surface detail underneath. In the video you’ll see: ✈️ Painting RAF Dark Green and Medium Sea Grey camouflage ✈️ Panel shading and marbling techniques ✈️ Blending camouflage colors for a worn finish ✈️ Masking and painting invasion stripes ✈️ Creating subtle tonal variation in 1/72 scale ✈️ Historical details about Bud Anderson’s famous “Old Crow” For painting, I used MRP paints together with the Gaahleri Mobius airbrush equipped with a 0.2 mm nozzle.
