In the third part of my journey through the mountains of Cebu, I spend another day with German expat Dennis and his Filipino girlfriend, Lyn. 🌴 The day begins with a delicious barbecue right on the farm. Dennis shows me how he prepares a simple but really good meal using vegetables from his own garden and fresh chicken from the market. 😋 Afterwards, I get a detailed tour of the farmhouse. From the wood-burning stove and the kitchen to the Filipino toilet with Western upgrades, Dennis shows me how they live here surrounded by nature. Later, we explore the surrounding area together. On the way, we visit the family's uncle and discover numerous tropical plants and fruits such as jackfruit, rose apple, cotton, and mulberries.
