U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Shares His Bigfoot Encounters From Tennessee | It Was Playing Dead!

In this in-person interview, Ed from Tennessee shares multiple chilling encounters with what he believes to be Sasquatch in and around the Natchez Trace State Forest. Ed’s first experience occurred while squirrel hunting with a friend deep in the woods. As they moved along a remote trail, he noticed what he initially couldn’t identify—something large and unnatural, resembling a “shag carpet” blending into the forest floor. As he cautiously approached, a powerful, foul odor filled the air. Ed estimated that if the creature had fully stood or stretched out, it would have measured 8 to 9 feet in length. Moments later, a massive tree suddenly cracked and crashed to the ground nearby. When Ed turned back, the creature had vanished without a trace. Years later, Ed had another terrifying encounter while fishing alone at a secluded pond. A massive, jet-black Sasquatch suddenly stood up from the brush. The creature appeared highly territorial—thrashing vegetation, making deep, primate-like vocalizations, and staring directly at him. The encounter lasted approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Ed described the being as standing nearly 9 feet tall, with features resembling a cross between a gorilla and a human. At one point, the creature began vocalizing in what sounded like an unknown language—something Ed compared to Viking or Russian—leading him to believe it may have been communicating with another nearby. As he left the area, Ed felt as though he was being followed. Overcome with a powerful, instinctual sense of danger, he believed he needed to leave immediately or risk something going terribly wrong. Ed also recounts additional experiences from Texas, where he and a friend discovered what he describes as a “bone yard,” which he believes could be a Sasquatch feeding or killing area. Throughout his years in the field, Ed has documented numerous unusual forest anomalies—tree structures, woven formations, and large-scale manipulations of the environment. He believes these formations may serve as markers or road maps. He has also observed rock stacks arranged in triangular patterns and even entire trees positioned upside down. One of his most concerning encounters involved what he describes as a red-colored female Sasquatch—an experience he believes suggests these creatures can be highly dangerous under certain conditions.
