O NEURÔNIO | EP.: 72
At the heart of the Nervous System's functioning lies the cell that constitutes it: the Neuron. The most specialized cell in the entire human body, capable of conducting the nerve impulses that make us move, feel, think, love, and decide. On the other hand, the fact that it is so sophisticated makes this cell susceptible to injuries and degenerative diseases, often with serious consequences. In this video, we describe the main characteristics of the Neuron that make it capable of so many biologically advanced functions. In addition, we show the cells that assist in supporting and nourishing the neural network: glial cells.
