Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President Donald Trump's pick for secretary of Health and Human Services, testified Wednesday before the Senate Finance Committee. Kennedy, an environmental lawyer, faced questions about his stance on Medicaid, abortion rights, COVID and public health insurance and vaccines. Democrats pushed Kennedy on his past statements opposing vaccines and the debunked, baseless claims that they cause autism. During the hearing, Kennedy insisted he would not restrict vaccine access and supported the childhood vaccine schedule. "The only thing I want is good science," he said.
